All of our products are metal-based, generally (but not exclusively) zinc alloy of various compositions.
The main metallic exceptions to this are Cufflink backs, which are plated copper or brass. Earring loops which are stainless steel (grades 304 or 316). Brooch pins are iron or steel-based.
No plating is present on any earring loop parts.
Where necessary resin / acrylic parts may be used, for example, clear cabochons or test tubes which are not glass. Glass is used exclusively for some (but not all) cabochons.
Medals comprise a variety of fabric ribbons, and the intermediate gear permanently attached to it is HDF-based (cellulosic).
Small components may also contain cellulosic parts, (wood or wood pulp derived) e.g. paper image carriers.
Food Imitations (Safety) Regulations 1980: None of the products are for human consumption. (Yes, we do mean you can't eat the biscuits, or at least we advise against you trying to!)
All products may cause a choking hazard due to small parts and are unsuitable for small children. They should be used under adult supervision.
Please note: We aren't killjoys but our culture isn't quite as common sense-based as it used to be it seems! End of lecture!
Finally, should you find any precious metals in any of our products please return them for a full refund, they weren't supposed to be there, we didn't know we had them, and we don't know why we didn't know we had them.
